Why are fly traps better than fly zappers for fruit flies?
Fly zappers have open grids around the sides and fruit flies are so small they can fly through without being zapped. Traps are not a straight through design. So when fruit flies try to go through the trap, they fly head first into a glue board or
capture tray where they die from dehydration.
