Fruit Fly TrapThe Insect-A-Trap 30 fruit fly trap is the perfect light for sensitive commercial areas needing the most effective fruit fly control available. This 30-watt machine covers up to 1,000 square feet.(Popular in commercial kitchens). Its extremely slim design enables it to mount easily in most areas. It also has four legs, making it both portable and freestanding. The easy pull-up grid makes glueboard and bulb changes quick and simple.
Zapping machines are typically too large for the fruit fly. You see them time and time again get lured towards the light, only to fly straight through the machine because they are so small. This fruit fly trap solves this problem by replacing the zapping grid with a sticky glueboard. The flies find the two 15 watt bulbs irresistible but when they attempt to travel straight through, they get stuck to the board at the back, where they die.
Ideal placement – Approximately 3 to 6 ft. from the ground. For maximum performance, mount fruit fly trap closer to the 3 ft. level.
Things to be aware of when deciding where to place the Insect-A-Trap:
- Place in an area without much competing light
- Place the unit between the source of the flies (i.e. window or back door) and the food supply
- Avoid placing the Insect-A-Trap directly above an area where there is exposed food

Will this zapper kill other species of flies or is it only a fruit fly trap?
A.) The IAT 30 will trap all other species of flies. This trap is called a fruit fly trap because its the most effective trap to capture the fruit fly. So yes, you can use this trap in other applications. How long will it be before I have to change the glue board in the fruit fly trap?
A.) We highly recommend changing your glueboard every 4 to 6 weeks. Depending on how quick your boards fill up with fruit flies.
